Gierhart becomes research boss at Neiman Marcus

US— Wanda Gierhart has been appointed senior vice president and chief marketing officer at US retail group Neiman Marcus.

In her new role she will be responsible for marketing, market research, advertising, sales promotion and customer insight activities across Neiman Marcus stores, Neiman Marcus Direct and Bergdorf Goodman.

She takes up the post on 10 August and will report to CEO Karen Katz.

Previously Gierhart was president and CEO of travel apparel and accesory retailer TravelSmith.
