Former Google executive joins Birdie

During his career, Amá has led teams across software development, systems architecture, data-as-a-service, business intelligence and AI/machine learning.
Amá was vice-president of data platform and infrastructure at Looker when the company was acquired by Google and later became general manager of Looker at Google Cloud. Most recently, he was chief development officer at Snorkel AI.
Founded in 2019, businesses use Birdie’s platform to access business intelligence data from customer and operational signals. The company wants to develop its platform to add more context to inform decision-making.
Amá will lead the company’s technology strategy and engineering organisation, with a remit to speed up development of Birdie’s platform to serve multiple use cases inside organisations.
The appointment comes as Palo Alto-headquartered Birdie expands across the US and Brazil, with clients including fintech companies, digital platforms and consumer brands.
Ale Hadade, chief executive and co-founder at Birdie, said: “Ronaldo has helped build every major generation of the modern data stack. His decision to join Birdie is a powerful signal about what comes next.”
