Ex-Drummond Madell and GfK execs roll out Volante

UK— Three ex-Drummond Madell executives and a former GfK NOP director have joined forces to launch a brand research agency called Volante Research.

Agency MD Nick Johnson (pictured) was previously a partner at Drummond Madell, while founding director Tom Channing was associate partner and head of the quantitative department.

Channing had worked for Drummond Madell for three years, having joined from NOP World in November 2006, however Johnson was with the firm for just seven months. His previous company, Evo Research & Consulting, went into administration in March 2009.

Ex-GfK NOP divisional director Jon Whiteley and former Drummond Madell qual researcher Carl Sarney round out the team as director and associate director respectively.

Volante bills itself as “a fully integrated qualitative and quantitative research consultancy”, specialising in brand and innovations research. The partners boast particular expertise in the technology, IT, telecoms, media and financial sectors.
