Evo co-founder joins Drummond Madell

Nick Johnson appointed as equity partner following closure of the firm he founded

UK-- Nick Johnson has joined Drummond Madell as an equity partner, after Evo, the agency he co-founded, went into administration earlier this month.

Johnson told Research his new role will include driving international business, with the aim of winning more work from large multinationals. The firm, which specialises in brand research, has offices in London and Paris.

Evo's other staff have joined Loewy Group research agency Prescient, but Johnson told Research today, “That wasn't something that I felt that I wanted to move forward with. I wanted to take a bit of time out and think about the direction I wanted to take next. When you're in a research company, the one thing you don't get to do is really talk to people in other research companies, because they're direct competitors. So it's been really interesting to do that, and talking to the guys at Drummond Madell, it seemed like a really good fit.”

Drummond Madell co-founder Monique Drummond said: “People of Nick's level and experience don't come along very often and we are delighted that he has joined.”

The firm also recently hired Richard Brown, formerly of Hall & Partners, and Carl Sarney, both as senior researchers.
