Euromonitor International adds Copilot to data tool

UK – Market intelligence company Euromonitor International has released the latest version of its flagship market data and insights tool Passport, including a new Microsoft Copilot agent.

AI apps on phone

The new version of Passport has seen the tool redeveloped with a Copilot agent integrating Euromonitor intelligence directly into clients’ Microsoft applications.

In addition, passport has added a model context protocol (MCP) integration to allow customers to use Passport’s global market data and insights in AI tools such as Claude and ChatGPT.

Other new features include a AI chat function to find insight from reports and an extension of Passport’s application programming interface (API) to support existing integrations.

An early access programme for the updated Passport will open next week for a select group of clients before full availability is launched later in the year.

Tim Kitchin, chief executive at Euromonitor International, said: “This is our biggest investment since we were founded in 1972. Every part of Passport has been reimagined and redeveloped based on what clients told us they need next.

“This isn’t just a better user interface. It’s about moving Passport beyond a single screen, connecting our intelligence wherever clients make decisions.”

Chris Fosberry, chief technology officer at Euromonitor International, added: “We've completely redeveloped Passport’s technology, with new architecture, new infrastructure and an AI layer built into the core of the system.

“That’s what makes it possible to extend our reach further and wider and bring together not only a vastly enhanced user interface but also AI chat, API, MCP and a Copilot agent.”
