US — EdgeSpring has released a big data analytics platform following $11m in series A funding.
Having completed $11m in series A funding – of which $9m was raised from Kleiner Perkins Caulfield & Byers (KPCB) and Lightspeed – EdgeSpring has released its Business Intelligence and Analytics platform which is designed to analyse data of any size or structure for the end users without dependence on analysts and IT specialists.
The start-up said the platform enabled applications to answer first and second order questions across structured or semi-structured to drive business insights.
KPCB general partner Ted Schlein said: “As enterpises face an explosion of new types of data and as business leaders strive to go from raw data to informed decisions, big data analytics creates tremendous value.”
