UK— Alan Hathaway has been promoted to managing director at Discovery Research, part of the Discovery Group.
Hathaway (pictured) has been with the firm for 17 years, having joined straight from university in 1995. In 1998 he took part in the firm’s sabbatical programme and spent a year working in Australia at IMR International.
Discovery Group CEO Trish Parker said: “This is a very well-deserved appointment. Alan is an inspiration to us all. He is innovative, creative yet logical in his thought processes, and totally committed to the market research industry, where he is held in high esteem by clients, colleagues and competitors. Ken and I are confident that he will develop this new role, and Discovery Research, in exciting directions.”
Discovery Group is made up of Discovery Research, Spectrum viewing facilities and online qual platform The Thinking Shed.
