US — Datameer, a provider of self-service big data analytics for Hadoop, has announced that it has secured $19m in series D funding.
The funding round was led by Next World Capital (NWC) and investors include Workday, Citi Ventures and Software AG.
Datameer has also announced that NWC partner Ben Fu (pictured) will join its board.
Fu said: “Datameer is unquestionably leading the massive shift to next-generation BI as enterprises re-platform their data warehouses to include Hadoop-based architectures.
“Datameer has a highly differentiated analytics solution and the only one of its kind to run natively on Hadoop. We are eager to see Datameer penetrate new markets around the world with the help of our unique European Advisory Network.”
