DataMarket debuts energy market portal

Data analytics News North America

US— Data provider DataMarket has launched a new portal that will give subscribers access to “millions” of survey responses about the energy market.

The firm said the new portal will allow users to search, compare, visualise and share information from US and international survey responses through a single interface.

DataMarket said that it is planning to develop similar portals for other industry sectors following the launch of the energy interface. Search results are returned to subscribers in customisable charts or graphs that can be shared or published.

Data sources include the US Bureau of Transportation Statistics, the US Environmental Protection Agency, BP, the United Nations and World Bank.

Founder and CEO Hjalmar Gislason (pictured) said: “This is a powerful new tool for virtually all stakeholders in the energy industry, making it easier than ever to use the best data to make business decisions.”
