Brand expert Rita Clifton awarded CBE

Clifton, who now runs her own consultancy BrandCap, receives the honour for “services to the advertising industry”.

In addition to BrandCap, Clifton is also president of the Market Research Society and chairman of the research agency Populus.

She told her local paper, the Maidenhead Advertiser: “I am thrilled because obviously it is an honour both literally and emotionally. And also it is very good for the people who I work with and the organisations I work with as well, it is as much recognition for what they have achieved.”
