Billboard extends and expands Nielsen music data deal

US — Billboard and Nielsen have announced a “multi-year extension” of their current agreement.

Nielsen has been providing music consumption data to Billboard for nearly 25 years, and will continue to do so, according to the announcement.

The relationship will also expand to include co-development of “new initiatives for the music industry to better measure and analyse market trends”.
