The agency is looking to raise £6m – with the business valued at £10m. Trading will start on Monday 19th December and Simon Lidington, CEO of Big Sofa, has been invited to ring the bell at the Stock Exchange at 8am as trading starts.

The announcement comes a couple of months after it said it was extending into the US and this move will help it raise the necessary funds for that expansion.

Lidington (pictured) said: “The market is growing at a substantial pace and Big Sofa has a growing list of blue chip customers. Our listing on AIM gives us the means to accelerate our growth ambitions both domestically and internationally to create a highly profitable business of scale. We have a fantastic team in place and are excited to enter our next phase of growth as a listed company.”

Big Sofa was set up in 2009 by Lidington and Matt Lynch, chief strategy officer. It now has 33 staff in its UK and US offices. It won the Research Live Best Innovation Award in 2013.
