Fuller joined the board of Big Sofa at the start of October as chief commercial officer. She was previously chief executive of Flamingo until May 2017, having co-founded the company 10 years earlier.

Big Sofa recently received £3m in investment from Ipsos and opened an office in the US last year.

Nicholas Mustoe, chairman of Big Sofa Tech, said: “Kirsty is a highly-regarded expert in the field of consumer insight. She has been instrumental in integrating innovative methods as the insight industry has evolved and has worked with leading blue-chip companies. Kirsty is also a proven business leader, having co-founded, grown, sold and thereafter continued to run one of the world’s most successful qualitative research agencies.”

Lidington, who founded Big Sofa in 2012 alongside Matt Lynch, will remain on the company’s board as a non-executive director.

Mustoe said: “I should also like to thank the company’s co-founder, Simon Lidington, for his ongoing contribution in identifying the opportunity for video analytics technology and services within consumer insight, in developing the business and, most recently, in attracting one of the world’s largest market research organisations to become a major shareholder. We look forward to continuing to benefit from his expertise as a non-executive director.”
