UK – Video technology business Big Sofa Technologies has secured a ‘seven-figure’ investment.
The capital was sourced through private equity channels from a mixture of new and existing shareholders, but the exact details of the investment have not been disclosed.
Big Sofa will use the funding to expand the data and analysis capability of its video intelligence platform and make additional hires in the UK and US.
In the last two years, the company has launched behavioural data and analysis tool Lifestream and experiential data and analysis service Lifeshare.
Kirsty Fuller, chief executive, Big Sofa (pictured), said: "Our momentum is strong with the on-boarding of new clients across the consumer goods and technology sectors. The importance of video as a remotely captured data source of authentic behaviour and experience is only going to grow. Big Sofa is poised to capitalise on this next frontier of consumer intelligence."
