Bdifferent expands into Asia

UK — Financial services market research company Bdifferent has opened an Asian office based in Singapore.

Bdifferent has been doing research in the region for a number of years. Kim Bell, director, said: “We have seen a growing demand from our existing client base to carry out research across
Asia, particularly in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan, as they expand their operations in the region.”

The company believes that increasing regulation in the region will drive the need for investor insight and market intelligence.

To support the expansion, Bdifferent has appointed Jessica Tuan Shepherd as associate director, international markets. She has held senior research posts in research agencies in Singapore and Taiwan and has worked extensively across Greater China and other Asian markets, interviewing and running focus groups in both Mandarin and English.

Meanwhile, in the UK, the company has appointed Hilary Macdonald as research manager. She joins from Ignis Asset Management where she held various marketing communications and market research roles.
