Banking taskforce appoints BDRC Continental for SME study

UK— A taskforce set up by the British Bankers Association has hired BDRC Continental to run a survey of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) exploring their financing arrangements and banking relationships.

BDRC Continental will carry out 15,000 telephone interviews with SMEs with an annual turnover of up to £25m between March and December this year. The project will be led by BDRC Continental director Shiona Davies (pictured), with first findings published in July and on a quarterly basis thereafter.

The contract was awarded by the Business Finance Round Table, which is made up of stakeholders in the field including the British Bankers Association, Barclays Bank, the British Chambers of Commerce, the Federation of Small Businesses, the Institute of Directors and RBS Group.
