Attensity Group to acquire social media monitor Biz360

US— Text analytics firm Attensity Group has inked a deal to acquire social media monitoring firm Biz360 for an undisclosed amount.

Attensity said that the acquisition puts it in a”dominant position” in the social customer relationship management marketplace by offering ‘listening post’ services, self-service analytics and an application that allows users to take action on insights found in various online conversations.

The deal is set to be completed with 10 days, and once it is finalised the Biz360 brand and team will be integrated into the Attensity set-up.

Biz360 president and CEO Brad Brodigan (pictured) will join Attensity as senior vice president and general manager. He said: “The combination of our social media and market intelligence expertise with Attensity’s semantic analysis applications creates an unparallelled value proposition. Together, our product lines are making next-generation social CRM a reality, removing the technical, process and scalability gaps between companies and their customers.”
