Angus Reid becomes Rival Group chair
Reid is the founder and chief executive of Angus Reid Group and chair of the Angus Reid Institute.
Reid founded the original Angus Reid Group in 1979 and the company was later acquired by Ipsos. He then co-founded Vision Critical, now Alida. In 2015, Reid launched the second interation of Angus Reid Group.
In May, Angus Reid Group merged with sister agencies Reach3 Insights and Rival Technologies. At the time, the companies said the move would allow for shared access to tools, panels and research capabilities, and offer added stability, reach and resources.
As an integrated business, Rival Group has its proprietary technology, panels and consulting under one roof.
The company said Reid’s appointment as chair signals its intent to grow its North American expansion.
Angus Reid said: “As chair of Rival Group, I’m focused on ensuring we stay true to the values that built these companies – rigour, independence and a focus on strategic insights.”
