ActiveGroup sees booming demand for video streaming amid volcano disruption
International business development head Dan Foreman claims the company’s phones have not stopped ringing since Friday, the day most of Europe’s airspace went into lockdown.
Business was at its peak on Monday and Tuesday of this week, said Foreman, “with twice as many bookings as we have had before”.
Foreman would not disclose exact numbers of bookings, but among the repeat customers were 10 “entirely new end-client businesses”, he said.
Demand is likely to ease in the next few days as flights resume across Europe, however Foreman believes business will remain buoyant amid a lingering sense of caution and concern over flight safety and the fear of new ash clouds.
