AAP buys Mediaverse

AUSTRALIA – Australian Associated Press (AAP) has acquired Melbourne-based media analysis business, Mediaverse, for an undisclosed amount.

The business will be merged into APP’s media analysis arm, MRG, to created one of Australia’s largest media analysis companies.

In conjunction with AAP’s Medianet press release distribution and media contacts operation, the acquisition consolidates AAP’s position in the media intelligence industry.

Bruce Davidson, APP CEO, said: "Medianet has long been the market leader in media release distribution, and our analysis offerings highly valued. The addition of Mediaverse and its quality client roster will provide for further expansion and new media intelligence services.”
