7-Eleven signs KSS Retail for in-store analytics

US— Convenience store operator 7-Eleven has contracted Dunhumby-owned KSS Retail to provide price modelling, forecasting and optimisation services for its shops across the US and Canada.

The convenience store chain will use KSS Retail’s PriceStrat and Heartbeat systems to conduct market-basket and affinity analytics to help drive more effective promotions.

KSS Retail’s technology also allows retailers to run ‘what if’ pricing scenarios to help them develop pricing decisions.

CEO Lance Jacobs said: ‘PriceStrat is the industry-leading tool for modelling retail pricing and promotions and will provide 7-Eleven with greater insight into how customers shop their stores.”
