Quantilope acquires Plotto
Plotto will become a subsidiary of Quantilope following the acquisition, and will see Quantilope expand into automated qualitative market research.
Quantilope, which was launched in Hamburg in 2014, has also launched a new product, InColor, as part of the firm’s Insights Automation platform.
InColor is a software platform for video-based qualitative market research, and uses artificial intelligence to run features such as automatic transcription, sentiment analysis and emotion recognition.
Peter Aschmoneit, chief executive and co-founder of Quantilope, said that InColor would allow consumers to “virtually sit at the decision-making table via video recordings” and allow marketers to incorporate the findings into their strategies.
