US — Rentrak has completed its acquisition of WPP’s Kantar US television measurement business.
The acquisition is part of WPP’s media company Group M and research and analytics business Kantar Media’s partnership with Rentrak.
The acquisition was made for 1.5m restricted shares of Rentrak common stock, which have an approximate value of $128m.
The transaction includes Kantar Media’s customer contracts and customer relationships involved in US TV measurement.
