Simply Measured closes $20m funding round

US — Social media analytics and measurement firm Simply Measured has closed a $20m Series C round of funding led by Trinity Ventures with participation from Bessemer Venture Partners, Four Rivers Group, MHS Capital and other existing investors.

Simply Measured analyses and compiles data from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Google+, Tumblr and Vine into visual dashboards for use within companies.

In October 2012 the company raised $8m in a Series B round from Bessemer Venture Partners. Previously the company had raised $900K from MHS Capital and angel investors.

Commenting on the Series C round, Simply Measured CEO Adam Schoenfeld said: “This round of funding validates Simply Measured’s leadership position in the market and enables us to invest in our product and team for the long term. We’ll use this capital to scale our best-of-breed measurement and reporting solution, giving marketers more insights in less time.”
