US— Pinterest analytics tool PinReach has been sold in an online auction after founder Chris Fay took up the offer of a new job with Google.
The company, brand name and web domain were listed for sale on the Flippa auction site last month for $10,000 and have been bought for $45,000 after 77 bids.
PinReach was launched earlier this year as PinClout, but had to change its name after a cease and desist order from social influence monitoring firm Klout.
Fay (pictured) said when he put the tool up for sale that he was doing so to avoid a “conflict of interest” with his new position at Google.
