US — Social media analytics firm Socialrithmic has switched its focus from Facebook and Twitter to Pinterest with a new analytics product designed specifically for the content-sharing site.
Pinster gives users a dashboard through which they can analyse pin interactions and track website visits that have been referred via Pinterest posts. The software also makes recommendations about what type of content should be posted at certain times of day to maximise audience engagement.
Peter Chang is the co-founder of Socialrithmic. Explaining the launch of Pinster, he said: “We wanted to focus on a social network which is still an emerging element of social media marketing. Pinterest doesn’t have an API yet and has just started working with businesses. We hope our tool gives businesses the power to maximise the huge potential of this platform.”
