Genpact to acquire Symphony Marketing Solutions
Symphony (SMS) was bought from the Symphony Technology Group, which also owns Information Resources (IRI), and specialises in providing clients with market and customer insights through its data management and analytical offerings. It employs more than 1,200 staff in several offices around the world.
Genpact president and CEO Pramod Bhasin said the acquisition would expand its scale and depth in the retail, pharma and consumer packaged goods industries.
At the same time as announcing the deal, SMS revealed that it had signed an eight-year contract with IRI to provide it with end-to-end data management and analytics services.
