Sky News revamps consumer panel

UK— Sky News is relaunching its online research panel with a redesigned website and several new features.

The broadcaster teamed up with eDigital Research to overhaul the site and add a new feedback section, more in-depth surveys and improved navigation.

An online and TV recruitment campaign is currently under way to attract more members.

Simon Bucks, associate editor at Sky News, said: “The Sky News Panel has always been a good way for us to interact directly with viewers and the upgraded site will make this powerful tool even more valuable.

“When panel members tell us what they think about topical issues, we can then use their input to contribute to our reporting across all our news platforms. Ultimately it helps us understand what our viewers want to see and, what the important issues are to them.”

Michelle Fuller (pictured), a director at eDigital Research, said: “Research can be conducted as and when Sky requires and the results and instant. It is a really smart use of digital research.”
