Tales of research bravery
More details have emerged about the contenders for the Ginny Valentine Badge of Courage, a new award that aims to recognise those who have shown exceptional bravery in the name of research.
Organisers have pulled together a diverse but worthy bunch, including two Afghan researchers killed by the Taliban for defying warnings to stop carrying out research; a research company that overcame theft and arson to stay in business; and a planning director who made her entire team become ethnographers to trigger a different kind of learning about consumers.
Full details of the nominees and winners will be revealed on 20 March at The Crypt Bar in Tower Hill. For more information, email badgeofcourage@researchliberationfront.com.
