YouGov opens Mexico City office

Latin America New business News

MEXICO – International online research data group YouGov is further expanding its commercial footprint in Latin America by opening a new office in Mexico City.

The new premises will serve the research needs of both brands and agencies across the region and provide operational support for YouGov’s work across the Americas.

YouGov says that it sees further significant growth opportunities in Latin America. The company already boasts around 1.5 million panellists throughout the region and last year David Eastman became its first Latin America managing director.

The company’s flagship YouGov BrandIndex product runs in six countries (Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico and Peru) and YouGov Profiles is available across four markets (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico) in the region. The opening of the Mexico City office is designed to enhance this push.

Mexico City will be YouGov’s fifth Centre of Excellence (CENX) and the first in the Americas. CENX staff provide a wide range of support to YouGov’s commercial and operational functions.

YouGov’s Mexico City CENX will initially have 30 employees providing this support to its business throughout the Americas, and the company expects to double that number within a year.

YouGov currently has three CENXs in India and a further one in Romania, all under the charge of chief business operations manager Lynda Vivian and the global head of CENX, Yashwin Pangal.

YouGov chief operating officer Sundip Chahal said: “Latin America has long been a growth region for our clients and with the Mexico City office, our footprint will only increase.

“YouGov’s living data is the best in the world, providing a live and detailed view of people’s attitudes and behaviours. We’re delighted with the progress David has made since he joined us and this new office will help bring the power of our data to more clients across the region.”
