UK – YouGov has appointed media executives Tamara Alesi and Julian Newby to newly created senior roles as the company looks to grow its media business.
Alesi (pictured) joins YouGov from data marketing company Fluent, where she was chief growth officer, and has previously worked at MediaCom, Birchbox and Digitas. She will be sector head of media in North America and rest of world.
Newby was previously global profiling director at MediaCom and has also held roles at Sqreem Technologies and NixonMcInnes. He has been appointed as media sector head for UK, Europe and rest of world.
Both will be responsible for leading the company’s media business and will work to develop new tools based on its data in the media sector, including brand tracking, consumption habits and attitudes.
Frank Saez, global head of sector experts, YouGov, said: “We’ve been working in this sector for a long time but we’ve made these appointments – despite this uncertain period in the world – because our business has grown to reach critical mass. Julian and Tamara will be taking that forward and making sure that our teams and our tools continue to be ahead of the demands placed on them by clients.”
