WPP launches government practice in Singapore

SINGAPORE – WPP has established a government & public sector practice in Singapore, led by executive director Cecilia Wong.

The practice already has hubs for the UK, EU Institutions, Australia, New Zealand, Middle East & North Africa and sub-Saharan Africa, and plans to launch in India and Washington DC later this year.

Its remit is to help governments around the world achieve their public missions by understanding their citizens, engaging and communicating effectively. It currently works with more than 60 governments across 112 countries. 

Wong has spent 10 years at Citi as regional marketing director for the consumer business in Asia. Prior to that, she worked in agencies on global brands including the Singapore Tourism Board, Coca-Cola, Kraft General Foods, Hyatt International and Qantas.
