Wieland to head new business and finance division at TNS Infratest

GERMANY— Robert Wieland, managing director of TNS Infratest, has taken charge of the agency’s newly formed business and finance research division.

The division brings together the firm’s research in the areas of financial services, b2b, energy markets and social marketing – areas that had previously been handled by Margit Huber, now the firm’s global HR director.

Wieland (pictured) continues in his role as MD alongside the new responsibility, reporting directly to CEO Bruno Hötzel and overseeing staff in Munich, Bielefeld, Frankfurt and Hamburg. He also leads the firm’s technology and media research division.

Hötzel said the move came in response to the growing importance of the services sector and a significant upturn in the agency’s work in the areas of business and finance and technology and media.
