US— What Runs Where, a competitive intelligence service for online advertisers, has acquired UK-based start-up Mobile Ad Spy, which offers a similar service for mobile adverts. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Mobile Ad Spy has been in beta mode since May and will now be integrated into the WhatRunsWhere platform, the firm said.
Max Teitelbaum (pictured), chief operating officer at What Runs Where, said: “Anyone involved in online marketing can now see where their competitors’ ads are running on smartphones, tablets and other mobile media – and pinpoint exactly which individual ads are running on which apps, mobile sites and mobile ad networks.”
