The company said since the merger it had adopted a territory-based structure in EMEA, creating sales and client services leads to work closely in aligned pairs.

Christian Dubreuil, previously managing director, EMEA for Research Now, has become managing director, UK, the largest EMEA market for Research Now SSI.

Among the other senior management team positions in the merged business, reporting to Watson (pictured), are: Marlies Kerklaan, managing director, Benelux and The Nordics; Renaud Farrugia, managing director, France and Southern Europe; Ute Jaeger-Wolfe, managing director, Germany and Central and Eastern Europe; and Will Singleton, divisional director for the strategy and consulting sector, EMEA.

It said in a statement that: “Both legacy companies have a strong reputation in the area of service, and this organisational structure will ensure we build on that reputation, even as we grow through a broadened range of products and services.”

In terms of having two London headquarters, for the time being it is maintaining both SSI and Research Now’s offices, although the Research Now offices have been upgraded and some SSI teams have been moved to that location.

When asked what changes in headcount would occur in the UK and EMEA as a result of the merger, the company said the merger was “strategic and focused on growth and retaining the best talent in the industry”.

It added: “With the structural reorganisation and our plans to expand beyond the market research industry, we have had to make adjustments in staff which include creating new positions, as well as eliminating some that no longer match our business plan going forward.”
