US— Gigi Wang has been appointed chief research officer at Yankee Group. She previously worked for the IT research and analysis agency as director of data communications research between 1987 and 1990.
Wang was most recently VP and global account director at TNS, where her clients included Microsoft and Procter & Gamble.
Before that she spent 16 years at IDC where she held a number of roles including senior vice president of strategy, chief marketing officer and senior vice president of worldwide communications and internet research.
Yankee Group president and CEO Terry Waters said: “Gigi’s experience working with the world’s pre-eminent consumer product companies as well as her prior experience as an industry analyst and leader in our sector will be a tremendous asset to Yankee Group’s research team and our clients.”
