VoloMetrix gains $3.3m in funding

US — SaaS provider VoloMetrix has raised $3.3m in series A financing.

The funding round was led by Shasta Ventures and builds on an initial seed investment of $1.6m from the venture firm in April 2012.

VoloMetrix aims to accelerate development of its Social Enterprise Intelligence platform, pursue new markets and expand further into organisational functions.

Shasta Ventures and VoloMetrix board member Ravi Mohan said: “VoloMetrix sits at the intersection of two mega trends in technology: Big Data and social analytics. By exposing new data and applying innovative algorithms, they are enabling their customer organisations to reduce cost, improve productivity, and deliver better results.”
