ISRAEL — Voice analytics start-up Beyond Verbal has raised $1m in a second round of seed funding.
The funding was led by Winnovation, a fund supporting entrepreneurs and technologies in the fields of human-machine interface, brain technology, and cyber security.
It brings Beyond Verbal’s funding to date to $3.8m. It launched in May.
Beyond Verbal analyses a person’s vocal modulation in order to understand their mood, attitude and decision-making characteristics. It is the result of 18 years of research, which began when its chief scientist wondered how babies communicated without language.
“By continuing to innovate and unlock the potential of voice-enabled emotional interpretation, we feel we can open up a new dimension of emotional understanding that will impact how people communicate with machines, as well as with each other,” said Yuval Mor (pictured), CEO of Beyond Verbal.
