US – Bill Veghte has stepped down as CEO of DIY online survey company SurveyMonkey after less than six months in the role.
Zander Lurie – who stood in briefly as interim CEO immediately after the sudden death of the previous CEO Dave Goldberg in May 2015, and who has sat on SurveyMonkey’s board of directors since 2009 – will become the new CEO.
Lurie has been senior vice-president of media at camera tech company GoPro. Prior to that, Lurie worked at Guggenheim Digital Media and CBS.
Veghte joined SurveyMonkey in July 2015 having previously been an executive at Hewlett Packard. It has been reported that his departure was due to “differences of opinion on strategy” although he will take a seat on SurveyMonkey’s board.
