Univision signs up for Nielsen BDSradio service

New business North America

US— Hispanic broadcaster Univision Radio has announced that its stations have signed up to use the Nielsen BDSradio service.

The stations, represented by content provider Envision Radio Networks, provide content services such as news and sports broadcasts, syndicated morning shows, web content and artist specials. Envision has a client list of more than 1,200 stations across the country.

Evan Harrison, EVP of content and entertainment at Univision, said: “As our bilingual audience growth continues, it is critical that we look at the overall market. Listening patterns and tastes are changing at an exponential rate, especially with younger audiences. Nielsen BDSradio will enable us to keep our finger on the pulse.”

Nielsen’s Howard Appelbaum added: “When added to our current monitoring relationships, the agreement with Univision and Envision means that Nielsen BDS is now the leading radio monitoring service for Hispanic music stations in the US.”
