This is a newly created role in consumer & brand insights which will sit within the company’s market insights & analytics team. Taylor (pictured) will report to Ann Semeraro who heads up the new consumer & brand insight team.

Taylor joined Twitter as head of UK research in 2014, having previously worked at Telefonica as head of social insight. Prior to that, he worked at consultancy Future Foundation as an analyst before being made head of innovation.

Jake Steadman, research director, international at Twitter, said: "Over the past two years Matt has been a vital part of the Twitter EMEA family, driving a lot of our best work across the region. We're going to miss him but are all excited to see him take his abilities across the pond. We're also looking forward to the regular deliveries of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups and Californian wine that he has promised us."
