The Trade Desk appoints data & trust officer

US – Global advertising technology firm, The Trade Desk, has hired Sandeep Swadia as its first executive vice-president, chief data and trust officer.

Based in its New York office, Swadia (pictured) will be responsible for data strategies to improve advertising relevance and work with clients, industry partners and standards groups to help build trust and growth. He will report to CEO and founder, Jeff Green.

He has more than 20 years’ experience in the technology and media industries. Most recently, he was chief executive officer of White Ops, where he helped lead an industry-wide overhaul in digital advertising fraud prevention.

Green said: “We are thrilled to add Sandeep’s unique experience in the data and trust components of digital media to our executive leadership team as we continue our rapid growth.”

Swadia added: “Data, trust and privacy are the most important topics of our time. I believe The Trade Desk is perfectly positioned to drive innovation that can improve consumer’s advertising experience, enhance trust in the ecosystem, and preserve the open internet that we all love."
