The Insights People began data collection in the four countries at the beginning of February and will survey around 410 children and 205 parents in each.

The data collection will initially be run from the UK, but the company is aiming to open an office in Asia-Pacific later this year.

The expansion is the latest in a series of new operations in Asia-Pacific, such as in India in 2019 and in Australia and China in 2020. The company already operates in Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Russia, Spain, the UK and US.

A global media planning tool focused on children, called Media Mix Compass, has also been created by The Insights People, and will allow marketeers to decide which of 17 types of media to use in their campaigns.

Nick Richardson, founder and chief executive of The Insights People, said: “This represents an important development for us as a business, as we have experienced significant demand for our services in this region.”
