US— Symphony Advanced Media (SAM) has appointed industry veteran Charles Buchwalter as president and CEO. He will oversee day-to-day operations and set strategic initiatives at the San Francisco firm.
Prior to his appointment with SAM, Buchwalter held a range of leadership roles for more than 13 years at Nielsen, most recently as SVP, online campaign ratings, where he led the product’s go-to-market strategy.
In addition to his role at SAM, Buchwalter will advise other companies within parent company Symphony Technology Group’s portfolio.
Romesh Wadhwani, founder, chairman and CEO of Symphony, said: “Charles’s track record in media analytics and consumer insights, deep industry connections and proven organisational and motivational abilities make him the ideal leader to take SymphonyAM to the next level.”
