UK — Questionnaire platform SurveyMonkey has announced its intention to open an office in London.
The company currently serves over 1.5m users in the UK and is looking to employ 50 members of staff across sales, marketing and business development. This represents its biggest investment outside of the US to date.
Chancellor George Osborne said: “For SurveyMonkey to choose London as its biggest investment outside of the US is great news for the UK. From Silicon Valley to Shoreditch, this is credit to Tech City and the talent it draws.
“We welcome SurveyMonkey and wish it great success in bringing its business to the UK.”
SurveyMonkey CEO, David Goldberg, said: “It’s a really exciting time for tech companies in the UK. Tech City is now globally renowned with a number of Valley companies making it the first port of call outside San Francisco.”
