UK— SurveyMonkey has embarked on a European expansion with the launch of several dedicated websites to offer its DIY survey tool in local markets.
The firm has launched a website for UK customers as well as sites in Portuguese, Spanish, French, German and Italian for clients across the continent.
The move follows the firm’s purchase of Precision Polling, which offers a DIY automated phone survey service.
Clients using the new websites can also now pay for SurveyMonkey’s service in either euros or pounds sterling.
SurveyMonkey has also opened a customer services centre on the Portuguese island of Madeira to serve the region.
CEO Dave Goldberg (pictured) said: “To date, the UK market has been central to our European footprint, with UK paid-for subscriber growth increasing by 72% from 2009 to 2010. This market is going to continue to be the driving force behind our European expansion but while focusing on this we are also working hard to deliver the same high-quality service in other European countries.”
