US — Online DIY survey research company SurveyMonkey has acquired software customer content creation platform, TechValidate, for an undisclosed amount.
Steve Norall and Brad O’Neill co-founded TechValidate in 2007. They said of the deal: “We chose SurveyMonkey because of several things: the culture and its people, alignment with our products and vision, and the opportunity for us to ensure a global future of the TechValidate offerings and its enabling technologies.”
TechValidate has more than 300 customers such as tech brands: Box, EMC, Hewlett-Packard, IBM, and SAP. SurveyMonkey is based in Palo Alto, California and said it intends to keep the TechValidate office in Emeryville, California.
This is the first deal since Bill Veghte (pictured) took over as CEO, following the previous CEO, Dave Goldberg’s sudden death.
