SurveyMonkey adds data API, with HootSuite as launch partner

US — DIY survey software and panel company SurveyMonkey has launched a developer portal and a data API in a bid to have its tools integrated with a host of other mobile and web applications.

HootSuite looks set to be among the first to use the API. It plans to add survey functionality to its social media management platform later this month.

SurveyMonkey CEO Dave Goldberg said: “This is one more step toward our vision of making it possible for everyone to get they insights they need to make better decisions, and now companies of all sizes have access to our powerful online survey platform.”
