INDIA— Startex Marketing Services (SMS) and data collection firm Market Xcel Data Metrix have launched a mystery shopping agency called Startex India.
SMS already offers mystery shopping services in its home market of the United Arab Emirates.
The joint venture with India’s Market Xcel will utilise a similar approach, said SMS CEO Aftab Anwar, with shoppers able to report their findings via questionnaires and audio and video recordings.
R. Vishal Oberoi, Market Xcel’s client service director, said: “The geographic and in-country expertise which we have gained through our mainstream business of market research in the past 10 years has helped us create a vast network and it will be used pretty well for recruiting mystery shoppers all over India. We are already working on it and shoppers have shown huge interests to get attached to Startex India family.”
