SPA Future Thinking sells stake in social media specialist

UK— SPA Future Thinking has sold its stake in Simply Zesty as part of a £5m takeover of the social media research and marketing firm by UTV Media.

UTV has bought out all shareholders, including Niall Harbison and Lauren Fisher (pictured), who founded the business in 2009, though they remain with the company.

SPA Future Thinking acquired its “significant minority stake” in 2010 for €500,000, back when it was known as The Oxford Research Agency and prior to its merger with SPA.

Jon Priest, CEO of SPA Future Thinking, said: “The deal is extremely beneficial for all parties. It enables us to invest further in out ambitious growth plans.”
